I about to move to Australia in this summer

I submitted a quote, however I have a question:

I would like to pack my own things in order to save some money.
1) is it ok to do so
2) can I pack fragile items with newspapers?

hi helen

you can pack your own things in proper boxes....do not pack in boxes that you have just found in the trash. moving boxes design to carry you personal thing and to protect them.

when packing your own things, movers will note it in the packing list as PBO - "Pack By Owner".
those thing in most cases will not be insure for all risk. they will be insure for "total lost" - there is a cost difference.

I suggest that you will not pack fragile items yourself...let the movers do it and those boxes will be insure.
the movers will pack those items in box calls "dish pack" - very strong box design for fragile items.
you can pack clothes, linen books etc.

im not sure how large is your shipment...but I would recommend you that

let the pros do the job...you might pay a bit more but sleep well

I just got a call from several international movers and you are right.
the price for packing is not much and I will let the movers do it for me
