Moving From Nz To Australia!!!!

Hi There Can Anyone Help Me I Am Looking At Moving To Brisbane At End Of Year In Oct-nov.and I Need To Knw Whether It Is Worth Me Taking All My Necessary Household Goods And Getting Them Shipped Over.not Sure On The Costs Whether It Goes By Weight Of Each Item In Containers Or By Weight Of Whole Container? If I Do Decide To Get Them To Pack My Household Items In These Containers How Much Room Is There In A 20ft Container? What Are All The Costs Incurred From Door To Door..that Is My Door To Home In Brisbane? Can I Also Pack Clothing And Small Items In Boxes To Be Placed In These Containers Or Wld They Come Through Customs At Airport?

Well, first don't stress, you have plenty of time and perhaps working too soon on this. There are several options and methods (FCL/LCL), but before I can suggest what to do, you will need to know your true volume and how much space will it take. Once you know the appx volume than we can look at the best option. So, first compose to yourself some sort of ideal list of things you would like to take. At this stage, you will not need an on-site survey but rather filling out forms or creating a list, and most companies will be able to put this togther into an appx volume. Than once this is done we will need to know where you're moving from? Whether from a small town or from a big city such as NY, international shipping can vary widely based on the inland trucking too..... so I hope you have a guide were to start.
